Businesses can now sell gift cards on Instagram.

Setting up Instagram Gift Cards for Your Business

You can set up gift cards on Instagram to give people a way to support your business.

When someone taps the Gift Cards button on your Instagram profile or the Gift Cards sticker on your Instagram story, they’ll be directed to a partner* website to buy gift cards.

To enable gift cards, your Instagram account and business must fulfill the following requirements:

• • • Have an Instagram business or creator account: Your Instagram account must be converted into a business or creator.
    • Have a service with an Instagram payment processing partner: Your business will need to set up a gift card account with an Instagram partner using the instructions on the partner’s site. Partner options can be found on Instagram.

Adding a Gift Card Button to Your Instagram Profile

1. 1. Go to your Instagram profile.
   2. Tap Edit Profile.
   3. Under “Public Business Information,” tap Action Buttons.
   4. Under “Select a Button,” choose Gift Cards.
   5. Select a partner to sell your gift cards. If you haven’t already set up your gift cards with a partner, follow the instructions on the partner’s site.
   6. Add the partner link for the gift card service you selected.
   7. After you’ve entered the website, tap Done.

Now, people will be able to buy gift cards by tapping the Gift Cards button on your Instagram profile.

Note:  When you add a Gift Cards button, all active Book, Get Tickets, Reserve and Schedule buttons on your profile will be automatically removed.

Adding a Gift Card Sticker to Your Instagram Story

To add a Gift Cards sticker:

1. 1. 1. Select a photo or video to upload to your story.
      2. Select the “GIFT CARDS” sticker.
      3. Add a partner to sell your gift cards. If you haven’t already set up your gift cards with a partner, see above.
      4. Add the partner link for the gift card service you selected.
      5. After you’ve entered the website, tap Done.
      6. Move the Gift Cards sticker to where you would like it to appear on your story. You can also tap the sticker to change its color.
      7. Share your story.

Now, people can buy gift cards through the sticker on your story.

• • • Only one Gift Card sticker can be added per story.
    • Viewers can reshare your Gift Cards sticker to their own story.
    • You won’t receive notifications when people reshare your Gift Cards sticker to their story.

Removing Gift Cards from Your Instagram Profile

You can remove the Gift Cards button from your Instagram profile at any time.

To remove Gift Cards from your profile on Instagram:

1. 1. 1. Go to your Instagram profile.
      2. Tap Edit Profile.
      3. Under “Public Business Information,” tap Buttons.
      4. Under “Select a Button,” choose Gift Cards.
      5. Tap Remove Action Button on the bottom.

IMPORTANT:

The Instagram Gift Card program is different from its Fundraising program. To fundraise/ask for donations on Instagram and Facebook, nonprofits must enroll and be approved to use Facebook Charitable Giving Tools. Check out Facebook’s tutorial on determining if the Gift Card program is right for your business.
