Just north of historic downtown Delafield and across from beautiful Lake Nagawicka, visitors will find a gem in St. John's Northwestern Military Academy (SJNMA), a college preparatory and leadership development school for boys in grade 7 through Post Graduate. SJNMA was founded in 1884 on time-honored values and traditions such as honesty, integrity, duty, honor and country. Dedicated to the preparation for continued academic and life successes, the school offers a culture that allows its cadets to take full advantage of a unique learning community where leadership principles permeate Academy life. Annual enrollment is approximately 300 with students from across the United States and numerous foreign countries.
Positioned on 110 acres of park-like property with buildings that resemble English Gothic architecture, the campus includes two academic buildings with state-of-the art science facilities, a learning commons, dining hall, chapel, health center, student activity center, gymnasium and pool, athletic fields, and a nine-hole golf course, which the public is invited to use. Several sites on campus are available for rental including Noble Victory Memorial Chapel, Farrand Hall Gymnasium, Gerber Pool, Mouso Hall, Welles Dining Hall and the residence halls.
The Academy also offers a variety of summer programs, including a five-week academic program called Summer OPS and four one-week sessions of high-energy adventure camp called Camp St. John's Northwestern.
