February 2010 Chamber Luncheon
Entrepreneur Success Story: Ray Thompson
Chamber’s entrepreneur luncheon to feature founder of Semitool
You are invited to join us for the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Tuesday, February 16, to hear from Ray Thompson, Kalispell’s most well-known entrepreneurial success story. The Chamber’s luncheon programs this year will carry forward its theme “American Free Enterprise. Dream Big”. Entrepreneurialism and innovation are key drivers for economic growth and the path to job recovery.
Mr. Thompson founded Semitool, a provider of equipment to the semi-conductor industry, in Kalispell in 1981. In December 2009, Semitool was sold to Applied Materials, a $9 billion company based in Santa Clara, CA. His presentation has been described as “an inspiration for entrepreneurs everywhere”. The Kalispell Chamber of Commerce will also highlight entrepreneurial support it provides and the support of its collaborating partners in the region. The program is sponsored by Applied Materials.
Luncheon tickets are $16 each for Chamber members and $21 for non-members. Tables of eight may be reserved for $120. Tickets are purchased in advance by calling 758-2800 or at www.kalispellchamber.com
